If you now me at all, you know that, Dorian, my first son died of a very rare brain tumour.

We spent many days and nights at Children's Hospital, for diagnosis, surgery, check ups.  CHLA has an amazing staff, everyone from the doctors, to nurses and orderlies care deeply about their patients, and making their lives and health better. 

In our case, they did everything possible to make Dorian's last weeks comfortable, so that we could enjoy our last days together to the best of our abilities.

So I'm asking today, that if you can, if you would donate to this wonderful, wonderful hospital, that gives so many families hope and comfort during their darkest days.

It Must Be Spring

The weather outside is warm and breezy (perfect for dinner's al fresco).  Everyone on the cul de sac is out washing their cars, and mowing their lawns.  And there are little green midgets out front of the local grocery store selling crack.

G and I picked up a box of Thin Mints and Peanut Butter Sandwhiches to fuel our addiction.

OXNARD, California (AP) -- Two police officers patrolling a beach in an SUV on Monday ran over and killed a sunbather, authorities said.

The officers did not immediately realize they ran over the woman and continued driving, police Cmdr. Tom Chronister said in a statement.

The officers, who were not immediately identified, had stopped on a small berm of sand to watch a swimmer who they believed to be in distress. When they saw the swimmer was fine, they drove over the berm and apparently over the woman's head, authorities said.
